EXCLUSIVE: Wife of Man Shot by ICE Agent in Austin Has Gone Hours Without Information, Attorney’s Team Says

AUSTIN, Texas — Cup of Culture has received new information directly from the team of an attorney who they say is currently with the wife of the man shot by an ICE agent in Austin.

In a direct message to Cup of Culture, the attorney’s social media manager said the victim’s wife has gone hours without information about her husband while attempting to see him at Dell Seton Medical Center.

According to the account provided to Cup of Culture, the attorney was attempting to help the woman gain access to her husband when they were initially told that he was not at the hospital.

“They denied that he was even there,” the attorney’s social media manager told Cup of Culture, adding that the group was eventually made to wait across the street from the hospital.

The attorney’s team says the wife still had not been given information about her husband’s condition or access to him at the time of the message.

The victim’s identity has not yet been publicly released.

Cup of Culture has not independently verified the specific allegations concerning what hospital or security personnel told the family, and we are reporting those details as an account provided directly by the attorney’s team.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting and what happened afterward remain under investigation. Cup of Culture will continue reporting as additional information can be independently confirmed.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
