How We Resist: A Series (Coming Soon)

I’ve been thinking a lot about what “resistance” even means anymore.
Everyone keeps saying it. Posting it. Slapping it on merch. Turning it into a vibe. And meanwhile, a lot of people I know — good, decent, normal people — feel more exhausted and powerless than they ever have. I truly feel that, in guilty of feeling that myself to be honest with all of you.
I get the messages. Legit daily…
“I want to help but I don’t know how.”
“I’m scared of losing my job.”
“I can’t afford to get arrested.”
“I’m so angry and it feels useless.”
Here’s the truth we don’t say enough: most people aren’t apathetic. They’re overwhelmed. And a lot of what’s being sold as “resistance” right now is either unrealistic, unsafe, or just empty noise.
Posting harder isn’t a strategy.
Burning yourself out isn’t noble.
And not everyone can or should be on the front lines.
But that doesn’t mean you’re powerless.
Real resistance has always been carried by ordinary people doing unglamorous things, consistently, together. It’s been quieter than movies make it look. Slower. Smarter. And a lot more effective than viral moments.
I’m starting a series because I’m tired of pretending that the only options are screaming into the void or checking out entirely.
This isn’t a call to violence.
It’s not a fantasy about collapse.
It’s not a guide to getting yourself hurt or arrested.
It’s about how regular people like us with jobs, families, anxiety, and very real limits can resist an administration that relies on fear, confusion, and burnout to maintain control.
I’ve watched communities organize quickly and intelligently when institutions failed them. I’ve seen how small, disciplined groups can protect people better than loud grandstanding ever could. And I’ve seen how authoritarian movements win when people feel isolated, ashamed for not “doing enough,” or convinced they don’t matter.
They’re wrong about that.
You matter. Your choices matter. Your presence matters. And there are ways to apply pressure, build resilience, protect each other, and stay human without blowing up your life.
This upcoming series will be practical. Calm. Grounded in reality. Focused on what actually works and not just bullshit that looks good online.
If you’re tired of doomscrolling.
If you’re done with performative outrage.
If you want to be effective instead of just angry.
That’s why I’m doing this.
The first piece will be about what resistance actually is and what it isn’t — because getting that wrong is how people burn out or get hurt.
No heroics required.
No purity tests.
Just real tools for real people. Written by me.
If that sounds like something you need right now, stay tuned. It begins tomorrow!
And if you decide to support the paid series, you’re not just subscribing, you’re helping me keep doing this work clearly, safely, and honestly.
More soon.
