Stop Eating Your Own: Why Progressives Need to Show Up for Democrats in the Midterms

I’m writing this because I’m tired of watching the left sabotage itself while Republicans take notes.

Let me be crystal clear: I get it. You’re frustrated. Maybe you feel like the Democratic Party doesn’t deserve your vote. Maybe you wanted the Green New Deal and you got incrementalism. Maybe you’re furious about student debt, healthcare, or the fact that we’re still waiting for a wealth tax while billionaires dodge taxes like it’s a sport. Your anger is legitimate. It’s also a luxury we can’t afford right now.

Here’s the hard truth nobody wants to hear: In a two-party system, a vote withheld is not a protest vote. It’s a vote for the other side. And the other side is not having an internal civil war about policy minutiae. They’re unified in their contempt for democracy, civil rights, and anyone who isn’t a white Christian nationalist.
