Trump’s Team Tried to Steal the Midterms Early

Reuters dropped an exclusive this morning that deserves every pair of eyes it can get.

Trump’s election security czar — White House adviser Kurt Olsen, a lawyer Trump hired specifically to prove debunked election-rigging theories — pushed a plan to ban Dominion voting machines used in more than half of US states. The mechanism? Ask the Commerce Department to declare their components national security risks.

Let that sink in. They wanted to use national security law to wipe out the machines in over 25 states — not because of any credible threat, but because the conspiracy theories they’ve been peddling for years demanded it.

And the goal wasn’t just the machines. Sources told Reuters that Olsen and other officials were actively brainstorming how the federal government could seize control of elections away from states entirely. Trump had publicly floated the idea. His people were working to make it real.

Also in the room: a senior aide to Tulsi Gabbard and a special assistant on Trump’s Domestic Policy Council.

This isn’t a fringe story. This is the sitting administration plotting to invalidate your vote before you cast it.

Reuters also reported this month that officials in at least eight states have been pressured to hand over confidential election records and voting equipment. And Republicans are already pursuing plans to redraw congressional districts ahead of schedule to lock in midterm advantages.

The system isn’t being abused. It’s being systematically dismantled.

Pay attention. Tell someone. The midterms are coming.
