What Resistance Actually Is (and What It Isn’t)
Let’s get something out of the way first.
Resistance has been turned into a performance.
It’s been flattened into aesthetics, slogans, and moments that feel good to post but don’t actually slow anything down. And that’s not an accident. Authoritarian systems love when resistance is loud, disorganized, and exhausting.
It burns people out.
It isolates them.
And eventually, it convinces them to disengage.
If you’ve been feeling angry, scared, tired, or frozen — that’s not a personal failure. That’s the environment doing exactly what it’s designed to do.
This piece is about clearing the fog.
Because if we don’t agree on what resistance actually is, everything else falls apart.
